Topic: Can't Save Due To "hourlyRate is a required value"

Hi,

3 days ago I spent the day inputting all my invoice data - all good. The problem is that I am not allowed to save due to the error message "hourlyRate is a required value". I have hourly rates for all clients. I can't revert to a previous backup as this is my first save so no backups yet (backup folder empty). I have had to leave my Mac on for 3 days waiting to get some help on this - if I quit the software, I know all data is lost.

I have sent emails to Mike's email address as for two days the contact form was broken. I have heard nothing back. It just accepted my contact form input but I fear it has not worked again as I c.c'd myself and I've received nothing. I know this problem has come up before on the forum but I didn't see what the solution was for my situation.

Can someone please help me as I'll be deeply disappointed to lose all my data and find another software package. This seems exactly what I need but I have a bad feeling! There must be a work around or something.

Thanks'

Re: Can't Save Due To "hourlyRate is a required value"

Please can someone give me a suggestion. It's ridiculous that I can't turn my Mac off as I'll lose all my hard work. There seems to be a "hourlyRate is a required value" bug that won't let me save my work (no backup files to revert to as this would be first save).

Does anyone from this company respond to emails or contact form submissions or respond to problems on this forum?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Can't Save Due To "hourlyRate is a required value"

5 days later and not a word from this company. Emails, contact forms and a forum, not a word from anyone - what a waste of time!

Re: Can't Save Due To "hourlyRate is a required value"

This is getting worse!

As all of the problems I've had were using the demo version, my only hope was that buying a license would sort this (I of course would prefer if someone from the company would at least tell me if this would help). Having tried to purchase the product all I get is yet another error message: Application error (Rails). This appears when trying to buy through PayPal and Mastercard. God only knows how much business they are losing through a purchasing system that doesn't work.

This now completes my list of:
contact form doesn't work,
email doesn't get answered,
forum doesn't get looked at,
buying the product is not possible!

Not Good!

Have you entered the hourly rate in the global preferences?  This may be the issue.

Re: Can't Save Due To "hourlyRate is a required value"

Hi there,

Thank you for spending the time to reply. I did enter a rate in the global preferences.

I have since had to switch my system off and I lost everything. I spent ages then re-entering everything and now all is fine. I think there is an issue with the software where if you don't input an hourly rate initially, you've had your chips. In other words, once you start getting the error message it's not just a matter of adding the missing hourly rate, you've had it - you can't save anymore.

Crazily their buy link still doesn't work. I am on the demo version at present, want to buy but can't.

Thanks again.
