Topic: Trouble restoring from backup on new OS install

My backed up data isn't migrating to Billable after updating my OS to Snow Leopard.
The plist came over OK - but the services, clients, etc won't

Before doing the update I copied 150+ records in the Library/App Support/Billable folder -- they all begin with Billable and end with .sqlite

I also grabbed the Backup folder, which seems to have the same data.

After the OS update, I downloaded a fresh version of Billable, inserted my serial number, copied the sqlite files to the Billable folder in Library/App Support/Billable

And that's where I'm hung up - nothing came across.

Any ideas ??

Billable is GREAT software - it has saved me many $$ in lost revenue.

Thats interesting.  I managed to get everything to go across ok from one os X 10.6 to another new, (but it didn't come through until second reboot) - but its not saving.
Have emailed zorn as I can't shutdown program (as quitting doesn't actually appear to quit billable completely) or computer without losing data but I dont get a response.
Its seems like I'm one step further along the chain than you.
Hopefully you won't get the same "multiple validation error" message while once you're up and running.
It would be nice if we got a response with such important issues!

Everything is up and running now. The solution involved renaming the most recent file /billable.sqlite

yeah i fiddled around with the back up files last night, printed out the invoices I thought would be in jeopardy and quite billable completely. I appeared to have two billable.sqlite in the billable folder for some reason. I lost 5 days work, but fortunately not too much data and because I had saved all my invoices as pdfs, so I was able to copy & paste them back in.
It was a shame that the only way I could get an answer was through the forums, but I'm very glad that they were here.
